ABOUT THE PROJECT
Digital Humanities is a European educational initiative that brings together humanities, technology, and socio-emotional education. Its mission is to support schools in:
Integrating a conscious, critical and creative use of technology in the classroom.
Strengthening students’ socio-emotional, digital and academic skills.
Engaging families and the wider community in a shared growing path
The project is inspired by European frameworks such as DigComp 3.0 (digital competence) and CASEL (socio-emotional learning), translated into practical resources, classroom activities and an open digital platform for schools and communities.
Current challenges inspired the creation of this project:
Students struggling with emotion regulation, frustration, and fragility.
Technology used mainly for entertainment, with limited guidance for safe, responsible and meaningful use.
A need to better connect core competencies (reading, writing, critical thinking) with the digital world.
A lack of structured resources to support school–family–community collaboration.
Digital Humanities responds to these challenges by creating an ecosystem where technology is not the goal, but a tool to learn better, relate better, and participate more actively in the community, in an nourish environment that fosters the balanced development of the individual.
OBJECTIVES
Digital Humanities Project is aligned with the European priorities of digital transformation, key competence development, and prevention of early school leaving.
Conscious critical and creative use of technology
Strong socio-emotional competences
Improved basic academic skills
Families and community actively engaged
